The Mystro App
The first rideshare app for drivers that does everything for you except drive your car for you.
Now we’ve been following and reporting back about the Mystro app all throughout it’s beta testing phase but I’m pleased to announce that the app has been officially released and any Uber or Lyft driver with an Android phone can take advantage of it.
For those that haven’t read my previous posts about The Mystro app, Let’s talk a little bit about what it is and why every rideshare driver should be using the Mystro rideshare companion app. The latest update to the Mystro app is Awesome and I really couldn’t ask for anything more.
The Mystro app acts as your virtual rideshare assistant. With the options in the Mystro app you can fine tune your rideshare experience and easily pick up better passengers while making more money at the same time.
What Are The Features Of The Mystro App
The first option you’ll see in the Mystro app is for app switching.
This let’s you select either Uber or Lyft as your primary app. You can select from a range of 0 to 60 minutes for the app switching from either Uber or Lyft from being primary to the other.
You can also choose to turn this feature off as well by using the toggle bar.
Ok now request filters are really what the Mystro app is all about and there are so many features so be prepared to understand why the Mystro app is a must have app for Uber and Lyft drivers.
You set the filters for either Uber or Lyft independently by choosing either icon.
The settings are pretty much exactly the same for either Uber or Lyft with only differences in terminology.
Now let’s talk about some of the awesome features.
Feature 1 : Time to pick up passenger
The pick up time option allows you to automatically filter out requests that you feel are too far away. You can choose between 1 and 30 minutes. Most drivers will probably choose 5 minutes or less to eliminate those times that we drive to a passenger 10 minutes away just to have them cancel when we are 1 minute from arriving. This feature equals less time driving to pick up passengers and less gas wasted between pickups.
Feature 2 : Passenger rating
Yes, you can now automatically say no to problem passengers that have a low star rating. This gives us better quality passengers. Of course there will always be new passengers that we aren’t sure of but if we all do our job of rating passengers accordingly then we can effectively filter out the Uber and Lyft passengers that don’t respect us and don’t deserve to be in our vehicles.
Feature 3 : Acceptable Surge
The last feature is the acceptable surge filter. Even though Lyft calls it prime time it’s all the same thing so the developers just stuck with surge. This feature allows you to set the minimum surge amount that you are willing to pick up a passenger for. I know what my time and life are worth and I’m not driving anyone around for base fare. This let’s us earn more by only accepting rides that are worth it.
Feature 4 : Uber Pool and Lyft Line filters
Pretty much all Uber and Lyft drivers hate Uber Pool and Lyft Line and let’s face it, This app isn’t for people looking for ride incentives so Uber Pool and Lyft Line are our worst nightmares. Now we can automatically deny any request for an Uber Pool or Lyft Line ride.
And for those that don’t like doing Uber Eats orders you can also filter those out.
Can’t I Just Do All Of These Things Myself?
Yes of course, anything that the app does can be done manually. I for one enjoy the convenience the app brings to rideshare drivers and it helps me focus on other things instead of monitoring ride requests all day.
The Mystro app gives you more control over your rideshare business and will help you earn more with your time.
Will My Acceptance Rate Hurt Me And get Me Deactivated?
No, Uber and Lyft will not deactivate your account for acceptance rate. Not accepting a ride request is different from cancelling a ride request which you can be deactivated for. So even though they may harass you a bit for not accepting rides you’re still safe using the mystro app. It’s always better to not accept a ride than to cancel a ride.
Mystro app for Iphone?
The mystro app for the iphone is currently under development and the release date is unknown at this time but I will keep you updated on the release of the Mystro app for Iphone.
